Maxar Technologies (NYSE: MAXR) will provide software development, engineering and data science support for the Department of Defense’s Joint Artificial Intelligence Center under a potential five-year, $241 million basic ordering agreement.
Maxar said Wednesday it secured a spot on the BOA, which also covers architecture, standards and analysis services in support of JAIC’s Data Readiness for Artificial Intelligence Development program.
Tony Frazier, executive vice president and general manager of public sector Earth intelligence at Maxar, said the company is excited to support JAIC and the DOD community in standardizing and streamlining machine learning and AI capabilities.
“The Maxar team looks forward to applying our vast knowledge and experience in Earth intelligence as well as our deep understanding of AI/ML toward this mission,” added Frazier, a five-time Wash100 awardee.
