TYSONS CORNER, VA, Dec. 29, 2021 — Maxar Technologies (NYSE: MAXR) will work on the development, test and delivery of two six-foot-long robotic arms to the Defense Innovation Unit for use during in-space assembly activities, ExecutiveBiz reported Dec. 21.
“Robotics will play a key role in humankind’s further development of space, and Maxar looks forward to leveraging our commercial space manufacturing expertise to support these initiatives,” said Robert Curbeam, senior vice president of space capture at Maxar.
The company secured a $9.3 million contract for the three-year effort.
