The transaction is expected to provide engineers with a platform for work and skills development opportunities in the environment of their choice and for the customers they prefer, MasterPeace said Tuesday.
Engineers in the region will also gain access to MasterPeace Launchpad, a startup accelerator where they could establish their own technology companies.
Drew Cohen, president and CEO of MasterPeace, said the company will offer professionals in the region more assignment mobility and choices for career development.
As part of the acquisition, FSS co-founders Paul von Schnetlage and Cait von Schnetlage will continue holding leadership roles and will help in the integration of the two entities.
In addition, MasterPeace recruited intelligence community expert Jeanine Callahan from Plus3 IT Systems to serve as senior vice president of its technology services arm with a focus on FSS integration and Northern Virginia expansion.
The service provider also adds FSS into its technology-focused capability teams that include machine learning and big data analytics, full-spectrum cyber and network operations and cloud DevOps.
