Marina Theodotou, former Defense Acquisition University official, was named executive director of a Department of Defense organization focused on providing Pentagon leaders with independent advice and specific recommendations to drive innovation, according to her LinkedIn post.
Theodotou brings three decades of leadership experience to the Defense Innovation Board, replacing Colleen Laughlin as its executive director, a post the latter held for four years.
The new DIB executive director will lead the team in catalyzing innovation across the department by giving the DOD secretary, deputy secretary and senior leaders recommendations about new concepts for technology and capabilities, practices and operations, and people and culture.
Theodotou was with DAU for over five years. She held a number of roles including enterprise leader for workforce innovation readiness and lead for organization change and innovation enterprise initiatives, according to her LinkedIn profile.
