ManTech International (Nasdaq: MANT) has won a four-year, $260M task order to help the U.S. Navy update mission systems of the branch's maritime patrol and reconnaissance aircraft.
The company said Thursday it will apply modern technology platforms to digitally modernize the P-3C Orion and P-8A Poseidon aircraft flown by the Navy to carry out intelligence, surveillance, reconnaissance, anti-submarine and electronic warfare operations.
ManTech will perform this modernization task for the Naval Surface Warfare Center Crane Division under the Department of Defense Information Analysis Center contract vehicle.
Andrew Twomey, executive vice president and general manager of ManTech’s defense segment, said the company will provide its digital engineering expertise in efforts to help U.S. military customers transform ISR and electronic warfare systems.
The task order was issued by the U.S. Air Force's 774th Enterprise Sourcing Squadron via the DoD IAC multiple-award contract and is a follow-on to the firm's previous work with the Maritime Patrol and Reconnaissance Aircraft Program Office, or PMA-290.
