ManTech International (Nasdaq: MANT) has bought the cyber business of Reston, Virginia-based wireless technology and engineering services company Oceans Edge for an undisclosed cash amount.
The deal adds a suite of vulnerability research, development and analysis tools to ManTech’s cyber intelligence portfolio and seeks to include U.S. Cyber Command in the client base of ManTech, the company said Monday.
Fairfax, Virginia-based government services contractor ManTech expects the transaction to be slightly accretive on its 2016 fiscal year financial results.
“This acquisition, along with our acquisition of KCG last year, expands our presence with customers who are critical to our nation’s future cyber operations and cyber defense, ” said Bill Varner, president and chief operating officer of ManTech’s mission, cyber and intelligence solutions group.
ManTech acquired cybersecurity advisory services firm Knowledge Consulting Group in June 2015, less than two months after it bought project management services provider Welkin Associates from Computer Sciences Corp. (NYSE: CSC) through a $34 million cash transaction.
