Mahir Jameel, a former Salesforce (NYSE: CRM) executive, has been named global chief architect at Herndon, Virginia-based health information technology provider B3 Group
He will also lead B3 Group’s Salesforce practice and be responsible for developing its strategy to implement the cloud platform at the Department of Veterans Affairs’ Digital Transformation Center, the company said Tuesday.
VA awarded the company a $686M task order in September of last year to help modernize the center’s IT operations. Team members on the project are Deloitte, Mulesoft Consulting, Ballinger & Associates, Armavel and Millsapps.
Most recently, he served as the chief architect for Innovation and Digital Transformation as well as the vice president of Enterprise Architecture for the Girl Scouts of the USA from 2016 to the present.
He worked closely with C-Suite, industry partners and the company’s enterprise program delivery to drive business enablement through one of the largest cloud & digital transformations in the industry with the most innovative technology portfolio.
In addition, Jameel managed program architecture for strategic and cloud transformation sevices during his tenure with Salesforce and previously held technical leadership positions at Bell Canada and Brookfield Renewable Energy Group.
