PSC said Thursday Curtis, who has over 35 years in government contracting, successfully led more than 25 acquisitions approximately worth $8.5 billion in total. His accomplishments in the community and commitment to veteran service were also underscored at the 22nd Annual Greater Washington Government Contractor Awards.
Curtis has been serving as board chair at Cubic since January 2022. He was chair and CEO of Perspecta from June 2018 until his retirement in May 2021, during which he helped establish the company and led its transformation to a publicly traded company and later led its sale to Veritas Capital.
Curtis, before leading Perspecta, served as CEO of Vencore and Vangent, and held senior leadership positions at Pearson Government Solutions and DynCorp International. Read more about the executive’s 2024 Wash100 profile here.
Aside from Curtis, David Wajsgras, CEO of Intelsat and a seven-time Wash100 awardee, was also recognized at the gala. He was named Executive of the Year in the Over $300 Million tier.
Wajsgras took the helm of Intelsat in April 2022. In this capacity, he is responsible for advancing innovation and delivering long-term value to stakeholders across the government, broadband, mobility, media and commercial aviation sectors.
Prior to joining Intelsat, he was with Raytheon, now RTX, and Lear.
Speaking at the Nov. 6 event, PSC President and CEO David Berteau said, “These well-deserved honors reflect their exemplary leadership and their commitment to improving federal procurement and advancing innovation across the federal government.”
