M1 Support Services has been awarded a $79.6 million contract by the U.S. Air Force to maintain the service branch’s fleet of UH-1N helicopters.
The Defense Departmentsaid Thursday M1 will also provide UH-1N aircrew flight equipment and weapons maintenance services under the firm-fixed-price contract.
The Air Force Installation Contracting Agency will obligate $13.3 million in fiscal 2017 operations and maintenance funds at the time of award.
Work will occur at Malmstrom Air Force Base, Minot Air Force Base, F.E. Warren Air Force Base and Yokota Air Force Base through July 31, 2021.
The UH-1N light-lift utility helicopter is designed for various missions such as airlift of emergency security forces, security and surveillance of off-base nuclear weapons convoys and visitor airlifts.
M1 Support Services won a separate $193.8 million contract in June to support the Air Force’s T-38 Talon trainer maintenance program.
