LogicMonitor Names New Chief Product Officer to Lead Global Product Strategy for AI Platform, Agentic AI

LogicMonitor has appointed former Splunk executive Garth Fort as chief product officer. In his new role, Fort will oversee global product strategy and execution, accelerating the development of the LM Envision software-as-a-service platform and driving continued leadership in artificial intelligence-powered observability and AIOps with an AI agent for fast incident resolution, Edwin AI, LogicMonitor said Wednesday.

Career Highlights

Fort previously held the same role at Splunk and, at the same time, served as a senior vice president of the company. During his nearly two-year career at Splunk, he played a pivotal role in shaping the future of its software and cloud services. He led a team of over 900 product, engineering and design professionals focused on advancing security and observability solutions and driving innovation and market leadership. Fort was also Splunk’s primary spokesman, explaining its product strategy and road map to customers, press and industry analysts.

His private sector career also included time spent in various leadership positions at Amazon Web Services and Microsoft. He was previously the general manager and director of product management at AWS and was appointed as general manager for the cloud and enterprise division and a senior director for Japan at Microsoft.

The executive holds a bachelor’s degree from the University of North Carolina, Chapel Hill, where he was a Morehead Scholar.

“Garth’s appointment represents our continued, strategic investment in product leadership at the intersection of Agentic AIOps and hybrid observability,” said Christina Kosmowski, CEO of LogicMonitor. “Garth brings the pedigree and operational excellence to accelerate and execute our roadmap and unlock more value for our customers and partners—our goal is to reduce unplanned downtime by 50% and empower customers with foresight, not hindsight.”

Garth joined LogicMonitor as the company exceeded $300 million in annual recurring revenue, fueled by strong momentum in upmarket expansion and multiproduct adoption.

“LogicMonitor is uniquely positioned to lead the next era of AI-driven observability and IT Operations at a time of massive data center transformation,” said Fort. “The increased demands created by rapid adoption of AI are driving unprecedented complexity across hybrid and multi-cloud environments. I’m excited to join LogicMonitor to help build an observability platform that doesn’t just monitor across physical and cloud data centers – it foresees and adapts in real time.”
