Maria Demaree, vice president and general manager of mission solutions at Lockheed Martins (NYSE: LMT) space segment, has said artificial intelligence technology offers a range of options to support human decision-making in the event of a conflict.
In a video posted Friday on Army Times, Demaree noted that integrating AI into multidomain operations and situational awareness platforms can help humans take appropriate and timely courses of action and not take them out of the loop in battlefield operations.
She added that industry collaborates with academic institutions and customers to bring together what is available out there for us to use.
Multiple acquisition programs are underway to determine how to rapidly integrate the technology into systems, according to Demaree.
