TYSONS CORNER, VA, Dec. 18, 2017 — Lockheed Martin (NYSE: LMT) is working with NEC to integrate the latter’s System Invariant Analysis Technology into Lockheed space programs to analyze system behavior for potential fixes, ExecutiveBiz reported Thursday.
NEC said Thursday SIAT utilizes an analytics engine to process sensor data, detect anomalies and prescribe actions, and the partnership aims to leverage artificial intelligence technology to advance prescriptive analytics for satellite and spacecraft operations.
“AI can revolutionize how we use information from space, both in orbit and on deep space missions, including crewed missions to Mars and beyond,” said Carl Marchetto, vice president of new ventures at Lockheed’s space systems business.
