Lockheed Subsidiary Awarded $120M Navy Contract Modification for Lot 9 CH-53K Long-Lead Items

Lockheed Martin’s (NYSE: LMT) Sikorsky subsidiary has secured a potential $120.2 million contract modification from the U.S. Navy to provide additional long-lead time materials needed to produce Lot 9 CH-53K King Stallion heavy-lift helicopters.

The Department of Defense said Monday the additional materials will support the production of 21 CH-53K aircraft.

Naval Air Systems Command will obligate the full contract amount using fiscal 2024 aircraft procurement funds.

The vendor will perform work in Stratford, Connecticut, through March 2025.

In December, the Navy awarded Sikorsky a $168.2 million advanced acquisition contract covering long-lead materials to support the production of 21 Lot 9 CH-53K helicopters.

The military branch moved the CH-53K program to the full-rate production phase in 2022.
