TYSONS CORNER, VA, Aug. 11, 2017 ” Lockheed Martin (NYSE: LMT) has completed the delivery of three of six satellite signal receivers for the U.S. Air Force‘s global positioning system monitoring stations in efforts to update the ground control system, ExecutiveBiz reported Monday.
The company said Monday the Monitor Station Technology Improvement Capability receivers will work to bolster the accuracy of GPS signals for navigation and positioning and have been deployed to monitoring stations in Florida, Hawaii and Kwajalein Atoll.
“The MSTIC receiver addresses today™s obsolescence problem while providing the opportunity for the monitoring of modernized navigation signals in the future,” said Vinny Sica, vice president and general manager of mission solutions for Lockheed.
