Lockheed Selects Christina Mancinelli for VP Role at National Security Space Unit

Christina Mancinelli, formerly director of national critical systems at Lockheed Martin‘s (NYSE: LMT) space arm, has been named vice president of space security, cyber and analytics within the business’ national security space unit.

“National Security Space is enabling us to leverage the strengths of our collective team to solve our customers’ most salient challenges with greater efficiency and agility, while providing a richer employee experience overall,” Mancinelli wrote in a LinkedIn post published Friday.

She will lead approximately 1,600 employees within the newly formed business line that offers advanced software systems and mission support services to military and intelligence customers.

Mancinelli’s 20-year career at Lockheed includes roles such as program manager, integration and workforce lead, engineering and technology manager and deputy capture manager for the Defense Information Systems Agency’s Global Information Grid Services Management-Operations.

In May, Lockheed Martin Space transitioned from five business lines to three–commercial civil space, national security space and strategic and missile defense systems– as part of a realignment initiative.
