TYSONS CORNER, VA, May 20, 2016 Lockheed Martin (NYSE: LMT) has said NASA can use a manned spacecraft orbiting Mars as a platform to send humans to the planet by the 2030s as part of the company’s Mars Base Camp concept, ExecutiveBiz reported Thursday.
Popular Science reported Wednesday that Lockheed is working to introduce the concept, which involves a six-person orbiting laboratory with habitat modules and solar panels that could support preparations to lands humans on Mars.
