TYSONS CORNER, VA, March 2, 2016 Lockheed Martin (NYSE: LMT) and its partners will work on the preliminary design of the Quiet Supersonic Transport X-plane under a $20 million task order award from NASA, ExecutiveBiz reported Tuesday.
The space agency said Tuesday the award is part of its New Aviation Horizons program, which seeks to leverage innovation in aircraft design to reduce carbon emission, fuel consumption and noise levels.
