In his new role, Stevens will lead corporate counsel for mergers and acquisitions, venture investments, corporate and securities law, treasury and corporate finance, investor relations and controllership support. He will also oversee the corporate secretary’s office and work closely with the board of directors.
Who Is John Stevens?
Stevens is a long-time Lockheed executive, having been with the company for over 14 years. He most recently served as VP and associate general counsel for corporate and securities. He was director and general counsel for the rotary and mission systems business, responsible for developing and executing litigation strategies, compliance processes and disclosure controls.
The executive was also the director and associate general counsel for Europe and the Americas, where he was a founding member of the Lockheed Martin International legal department. When he joined the company in 2011, he held the role of assistant general counsel for transactions.
Stevens started his career in the legal industry. He served as a lead associate for Arnold & Porter and O’Melveny & Myers, handling M&A deals, divestitures and financing transactions.
