TYSONS CORNER, VA, Sept. 28, 2017 Lockheed Martin (NYSE: LMT) has unveiled four new series of satellite buses designed with 280 common components as part of efforts to cut design time and cost, ExecutiveBiz reported Sept. 20.
The company said Sept. 19 the LM 50, LM 400, LM 1000 and LM 2100 lines launched during the Air Force Association’s recent Air, Space and Cyber Conference integrate product modifications and updates.
“We’ve invested $300 million in revamping our satellite solutions from top to bottom, applying what we learned from hundreds of small sat and geostationary missions,” noted Rick Ambrose, executive vice president of Lockheeds space systems segment and an inductee into Executive Mosaic’s Wash100 for 2017.
