Lockheed Martin (NYSE: LMT) has received a potential $84 million contract to provide operation and maintenance support for Aegis development and test sites.
Lockheeds rotary and mission systems business will deliver configuration management, related equipment and supplies, technical engineering, quality and information assurance services for Aegis test sites under the cost-plus-incentive-fee contract, the Defense Departmentsaid Monday.
The contract has a base value of $78.3 million and options that would bring the total contract amount to $84 million if exercised and combines procurements from the Navy, Missile Defense Agency and the governments of Japan, South Korea and Australia.
The contractor will also provide site maintenance and improvement services in support of Aegis Weapon System and Aegis Combat System updates on DDG 51– and CG 47-class ships through the Technology Insertion 16 and Advanced Capability Build 20.
Work will occur in Moorestown, N.J., through June 2019.
The Naval Sea Systems Command will obligate $13 million at the time of award from foreign military sales funds, the Navys and DoDs fiscal 2018 research, development, test and evaluation funds as well as fiscal 2018 Navy operations and maintenance funds and fiscal 2016 shipbuilding and conversion funds.
The Aegis development and test sites integrate classified networks that link U.S. government and contractor facilities needed to develop, test and field computer code baselines.
