TYSONS CORNER, VA, May 23, 2018 Lockheed Martins (NYSE: LMT) fifth Advanced Extremely High Frequency satellite has completed a series of launch environment tests in preparation for its delivery to the U.S. Air Force in 2019, ExecutiveBiz reported Tuesday.
The company said Monday it performed a 39-day thermal vacuum chamber test and an acoustic test to ensure the readiness of the AEHF-5 satellite, which is designed to provide protected communications capabilities for U.S. and allied warfighters on ground, sea and air.
