Army Contracting Command-Redstone received one bid for the firm-fixed-price contract modification via the internet and will determine work locations and budget upon issuance of each order, the Department of Defense said Wednesday.
According to solicitation documents, the contract covers the production of up to 288 M142 HIMARS launchers and the provision of associated equipment and support services, including product data definition package maintenance, training, qualification testing, initial spares, and repair parts.
HIMARS is part of Lockheed’s multiple-launch system portfolio that carries a six-pack of guided multiple-launch rocket system rockets and can launch the entire MLRS family of munitions.
DOD expects work to conclude by May 31, 2026.
