Lockheed Books $462M Navy Contract for Aegis Site Operation & Maintenance

Lockheed Martin‘s (NYSE: LMT) rotary and mission systems business has secured a potential four-year, $462.4 million contract to operate and maintain development and test sites for the U.S. Navy’s Aegis combat system.

Naval Sea Systems Command awarded the contract on a sole-source basis and expects work to conclude by January 2028, the Department of Defense said Tuesday.

Aegis is a fully integrated command and control and weapons control system designed to defend naval ships against advanced air and surface threats.

Lockheed RMS will conduct work on the cost-plus-fixed-fee contract in Moorestown, New Jersey.

The contract has a base value of $101.5 million and includes options that would bring the amount to the contract’s ceiling value.

The Navy obligated funds from shipbuilding and conversion; operation and maintenance; research, development, test and evaluation; and other procurement accounts.
