Lockheed Martin‘s (NYSE: LMT) aeronautics business has secured a $1.56 billion contract from the U.S. Navy to provide F-35 logistics support services for domestic and international military customers.
The contractor will perform ground maintenance, depot activities, automatic logistics information system operations and maintenance, supply chain management, pilot training and training system sustainment, the Department of Defense said Thursday.
Work will occur in Texas, Florida, South Carolina, Georgia and California through December.
The cost-plus-fixed-fee, cost-plus-incentive-fee, fixed-price-incentive-fee and firm-fixed-price contract will support fielded F-35 jets used by the Navy, Air Force and Marine Corps, as well as foreign military sales customers and non-DOD agencies.
Naval Air Systems Command is the contracting activity and will finance the contract using the military services’ fiscal 2024 operation and maintenance allocation, FMS customer funds and U.S. non-DOD participant budget.
