Lockheed Martin (NYSE: LMT) has secured a five-year, $405.8 million contract modification to provide components and support equipment for use in flight tests of the U.S. Army’s Intermediate Range Conventional Prompt Strike Weapon System.
The modification falls under a previously awarded contract covering efforts to design, build and integrate large diameter rocket motors, missile body flight articles and support systems, the Department of Defense said Tuesday.
Work will take place in Littleton, Colo., and is expected to be complete by Jan. 1, 2024. The U.S. Navy’s Strategic Systems Programs is the contracting activity and obligated $33 million in fiscal 2019 research, development, test and evaluation funds for the modification.
