Lockheed Aeronautics Segment Lands $1.8B Award for Recurring F-35 Logistics Services

Lockheed Martin (NYSE: LMT) has been awarded a $1.80 billion contract to perform recurring logistics work for domestic and international military customers that received F-35 air systems.

The company’s aeronautics segment will conduct depot activation, ground maintenance, supply chain management and initial training efforts as part of the undefinitized contract action by Naval Air Systems Command, the Department of Defense said Wednesday.

DOD added that the business unit will maintain the Joint Strike Fighter program’s automatic logistics information system, manage the health of air systems and resolve action requests.

The U.S. Air Force, Navy, Marine Corps, non-DOD participants and foreign military sales clients will receive the services.

Approximately $75 million of initial contract obligations will come from non-DOD participants and another $41 million from FMS transactions.
