She succeeds former IronNet CEO Keith Alexander, who will transition to the role of non-executive chairman, in a move resulting from the cybersecurity company’s take-private deal with a joint C5 Capital-Cohen Circle venture, IronNet said Wednesday.
Zecher is a board member at Tenable and a director of the board of Hasbro. She previously served as president, CEO and director of Houghton Mifflin Harcourt and as corporate vice president of Microsoft’s worldwide public sector business.
“Linda is an exceptional leader with a background in cybersecurity and other industries who will help us drive IronNet’s Collective Defense Platform forward and allow us to continue to protect governments, sectors and companies against the cybercriminals and nation-state adversaries who are taking advantage of a legacy siloed approach to cyberdefense,” said Alexander, a retired U.S. Army general and a previous Wash100 awardee.
IronNet added Cameron Pforr, chief financial officer of IronNet, has assumed additional duties as president
Prior to IronNet, Pforr was CFO and president of Fidelis Cybersecurity. His industry career included time at Deutsche Bank Alex Brown, Revolution Partners and Bain & Company.
John O’Hara, a retired U.S. Navy pilot, will work with the engineering team to broaden capabilities for IronNet’s client base as senior VP of corporate development and partnerships.
Before IronNet, O’Hara was VP for strategic development at Comcast (Nasdaq: CMCSA). He held board positions at BitSight Technologies, BluVector Cybersecurity, Quil Healthcare and StratIS IoT and began his corporate career at Goldman, Sachs and Co.
