Rockville, Maryland-based Library Systems & Services has purchased the federal business of information services vendor LAC Group for an undisclosed sum in a move to expand LS&S’ work with the government.
The two companies have complementary library and data management offerings for the public sector and provide support to U.S. national libraries, LS&S said Monday.
LAC Federal helps government clients manage library materials and digital assets. Other services of the business include collections maintenance, knowledge management, research and reference, web development, outreach and engagement and specialized staffing services.
Founded in 1981, LS&S works with government organizations to operate public libraries and library systems.
