LexisNexis Risk Solutions has secured a six-year, multimillion-dollar contract from the Department of Justice to provide legal and investigative information technology platforms to DOJ and five component agencies.
The company said Tuesday it will serve as the department’s primary information provider and support more than 44K professionals across the U.S. Attorney’s Office, FBI, Marshals Service, Drug Enforcement Administration and Bureau of Alcohol, Tobacco, Firearms and Explosives.
“We consider it an honor to put our innovation and research to work to advance the public safety mission across the different DOJ components,” said Haywood Talcove, CEO, Government, LexisNexis Risk Solutions and LexisNexis Special Services.
Talcove added the company will work to update location tools to the Accurint Virtual Crime Center’s data sharing platform for more than 1,400 jurisdictions under the department.
LexisNexis Risk Solutions integrated a repository of public records and large amounts of law enforcement data into the Accurint platform.
DOJ personnel also have access to the company’s Law360 legal news service and suite of legal data analytics tools.
