James Christopher, a more than 25-year technology services veteran, has assumed the president role at Leidos‘ (NYSE: LDOS) 1901 Group subsidiary, FedHealthIT reported Tuesday.
He oversees three enterprise information technology operations centers, two of which are located in Virginia and the third in Idaho, and the maturation of InSight, a managed service platform certified under the Federal Risk and Authorization Management Program.
Prior to the promotion, Christopher managed both government and commercial programs for 1901 Group as executive vice president of operations.
He previously served as chief operating officer at Complete Professional Services and held a VP role at SRA International, according to his LinkedIn profile.
Christopher said in a Q&A article posted on 1901 Group’s website that he expects cloud migration projects for customers handling mission workloads to continue as one of the key industry trends over the next five years.
“As the market appetite for cloud services increases, so will the comfort level for the consumption of remote managed services to operate and maintain customer environments,” he added.
Leidos acquired Reston, Virginia-based 1901 Group in a $250 million cash deal that closed in January 2021.
