Doug Jones, a senior vice president and defense group chief technology officer of Leidos (NYSE: LDOS) for the past three years, has been promoted to serve as the company’s deputy CTO.
In his new capacity, Jones will lead the company’s research and development investments, technology partnerships, technical talent growth and key strategic efforts for the Leidos Office of Technology, according to his LinkedIn profile.
Jones has been with Leidos since the company’s August 2016 merger with the information systems and global solutions segment of Lockheed Martin (NYSE: LMT), where he previously served as senior program manager of cloud and data center solutions.
The North Carolina State University alum held systems engineering and integration, application development and project management roles during his 12-year career with Lockheed.
In a LinkedIn post, Jones said that Kevin Fogarty will become the next CTO within Leidos’ defense business.
