TYSONS CORNER, VA, July 1, 2020 — Leidos (NYSE: LDOS) has granted a New York University student its fifth annual scholarship for science, technology, engineering and math education, ExecutiveBiz reported June 23.
The company said June 22 Mary Nicole Lyons, a junior engineering student and robotic design team leader, won the Leidos STEM Scholarship after a competitive selection process that was conducted by the Surface Navy's Anchor Scholarship committee.
Gerry Fasano, president of Leidos' defense group and 2020 Wash100 Award recipient, said the company supports the program in efforts to discover technical talent among young people and develop the future workforce.
