Leanne Caret, former CEO of Boeing’s (NYSE: BA) defense, space and security business, will provide recruitment-related consulting support to the Chicago-based aerospace and defense contractor through her consulting firm GCubed Group, the Wichita Business Journal reported Tuesday.
Caret, a five-time Wash100 awardee, transitioned to the role of executive vice president and senior adviser at Boeing in March after she stepped down as head of the company’s defense unit. She is set to retire in 2022 after a nearly 35-year career with the defense contractor.
GCubed Group, owned by Caret, will provide Boeing with consulting services related to veterans recruiting and college and university relations under a three-year agreement that will commence on Jan. 1, according to a filing with the Securities and Exchange Commission.
Caret, who took the helm of Boeing’s defense segment in 2016, was succeeded by Ted Colbert, who previously served as president and CEO of Boeing’s global services business.
In November, Boeing’s defense business moved to streamline integration and collaboration efforts by merging its eight divisions into four units focused on vertical lift; mobility, surveillance and bombers; air dominance; and space, intelligence and weapon systems.
