Laurence Grayer
Laurence Grayer, a former senior vice president, general counsel and corporate secretary of DynCorp International, has been named VP, general counsel and chief compliance officer at Washington, D.C.-based professional services firm Creative Associates International.
Grayer will oversee Creative’s legal affairs and corporate compliance functions as well as provide local counsel support to its businesses in Central America, Africa and Asia, the company said Monday.
He has more than 20 years of legal advisory experience in the areas of corporate governance and compliance; commercial and government contracts; labor and employment law; and crisis management.
“Larry’s passion for service, dedication to our mission and outstanding professional qualifications made him a perfect fit for this key position at Creative,” said Creative President & CEO Leland Kruvant.
Grayer previously managed legal functions at the Veterans Moving Forward nonprofit organization and DynCorp, where he also developed the McLean, Virginia-based contractor’s risk management and mitigation policies that supported diplomacy, education and post-conflict resolution projects in 33 countries.
Before he joined DynCorp in 2006, he served as assistant general counsel at the Amalgamated Transit Union and established the group’s International Disaster Relief Fund.
