“Ryan is a proven leader in AI, open-source innovation, and national security, helping bridge cutting-edge commercial technology with critical government missions,” Larx said in a LinkedIn post Wednesday.
Who Is Ryan Lewis?
Lewis currently leads RGS, where he oversees efforts to modernize government IT infrastructure through secure, containerized, open-source systems that support faster and more reliable mission execution. Before joining RGS, he held senior roles at Amazon Web Services, In-Q-Tel and SRI Ventures, where he worked on dual-use technology investments and artificial intelligence research for national defense.
In addition to his role at RGS, Lewis serves on several advisory boards, including MetroStar, Unstructured.io and Yurts. He previously co-founded CosmiQ Works and SpaceNet, initiatives focused on accelerating open-source AI for geospatial intelligence.
Larx said Lewis’ deep understanding of open-source systems, government operations and AI strategy will support the company’s efforts to redefine visual intelligence for defense and disaster response.
