Prior to DCS, Egbert worked at Science Applications International Corp. (NYSE: SAIC), where he served as a senior VP and operations manager.
His more than two-decade military career in the Navy included time as a carrier aviator, systems engineer, lead Navy test pilot during the engineering and manufacturing development phase for the F/A-18E/F Super Hornet aircraft and major program manager for the direct and time-sensitive strike program office (PMA-242).
