The company will conduct an initial one-year OPIR sensor payload design for the first increment of Space Systems Command’s medium-Earth orbit constellation intended to support missile tracking operations, the command said Monday.
SSC expects the first system of the Resilient Missile Warning/Missile Tracking MEO – Missile Track Custody constellation to be ready in fiscal year 2026 and fiscal 2027.
