The company said Tuesday Bedingfield’s appointment will become official on Feb. 3. He will also remain as senior vice president and chief financial officer of L3Harris.
Bedingfield succeeds Ross Niebergall, who will retire after ensuring a smooth handover.
Sam Mehta and Heidi Wood’s Expanded Leadership Roles
L3Harris also announced a couple of changes in leadership roles. Mehta, president of communication systems, will now concurrently lead the company’s strategic collaboration agreements. In his expanded role, Mehta will cultivate and utilize strategic partnerships with industry partners to deploy advanced capabilities to the United States and allied nations.
Wood, who oversees LHX NeXt– the company’s transformation initiative, has been elevated and will now report directly to L3Harris Chair and CEO Chris Kubasik.
