L3Harris Awarded $90M USAF FMS Contract Modification for Mission Aircraft

L3Harris Technologies (NYSE: LHX) has been awarded a $90M U.S. Air Force contract modification for the first phase of a project to modify mission aircraft for foreign military sales customers.

The service branch will obligate $44.1M at the time of award and expects the company to finish work under the modification by Oct. 31, 2023, the Department of Defense said Wednesday.

USAF initially made an $85M undefinitized contract action in March for L3Harris to support procurement, engineering and manufacturing efforts under the FMS aircraft modification project.

Work will take place in Greenville, Texas.

The 645th Aeronautical Systems Group at Wright-Patterson AF Base is the contracting activity.
