TYSONS CORNER, VA, Sept. 27, 2017 Kratos Defense and Security Solutions has provided the short-range ballistic missile that served as the target system during a recent U.S. Navy test of the AN/SPY-6(V) air and missile defense radar, ExecutiveBiz reported Friday.
The company said Thursday its space and missile defense systems unit supported the third test of the radar against a live ballistic missile target, which launched from the Pacific Missile Range Facility in Hawaii, as the Navy prepares to field AN/SPY-6(V) aboard future Arleigh Burke-class guided missile destroyers.
