Kevin Stiles will be the POC’s 10th Annual Defense R&D Summit moderator. The event will discuss the modernization of the U.S. military.
The Potomac Officers Club invited prominent leaders and experts to speak at the 10th Annual Defense R&D Summit. Invited speakers, including Capt. Jesse Black, Aditi Kumar, Hon. Heidi Shyu, and many more, will discuss the developments in defense technology.

Kevin Stiles, Chief Technology Officer of Oceus Networks
Kevin Stiles is Oceus Networks’ chief technology officer. In his current position, he is in charge of the firm’s services for developing products, customizing solutions, and integrating systems.
Mr. Stiles works with the engineering team on making 5th-generation (5G) new radio (NR) and 4th-generation (4G) Long-term Evolution (LTE) products that are safe and scalable. They also deliver and integrate commercial off-the-shelf (COTS) products into custom solutions, ensuring they are certified and accredited.
Kevin Stiles is a graduate with a BS in Computer Science degree at the University of North Texas from 1985 to 1990.

Career and Leadership Journey
Mr. Kevin Stiles has been in several roles, from Software Engineer to Vice President of Engineering. He has been deeply involved in R&D, Service Delivery, and Systems Integration throughout his career. Added to that, he has worked in telecommunications and government contracting for more than three decades.

- 1990 – 2009: Software Engineer at Ericsson, Inc.
- 2008 – 2010: Director, Engineering at Ericsson Federal Inc.
- 2011 – 2014: Vice President, Engineering at Oceus Networks
- 2014 – Present: Chief Technology Officer at Oceus Networks
Kevin Stiles spent most of his time at Ericsson Federal. While at Ericsson, he oversaw the design of the site and the supply of Ericsson components for a satellite program run by the Department of Defense. Additionally, he coordinated the creation and deployment of early IP Multimedia Subsystems (IMS) in the North American region.
