TYSONS CORNER, VA, July 26, 2017 Kevin Leonard, senior vice president of Vectrus‘ (NYSE: VEC) facility and logistics services business, has said “smart” forward operating bases could present an opportunity for the company in the area of logistics in line with the federal government’s cost saving goals.
He told ExecutiveBiz in an interview published Tuesday that industry has been ahead of government in adopting smart technologies at facilities to drive cost savings and avoidance.
“Whether we are talking about power generation, perimeter security, biometrics [or] ammunition management, there are a number of areas where industry has cutting-edge tools that can improve performance for the Department of Defense,” Leonard said.
