Karen Wheeler, a senior vice president and chief procurement officer of Science Applications International Corp.(NYSE: SAIC), has been appointed to succeed Kimberly Admire as the company’s chief human resources officer in a transition scheduled to take effect Feb. 4, 2017.
SAIC said Monday Wheeler will oversee employee-related initiatives such as organizational development, talent management, recruitment, retention and employee engagement.

“Karen brings more than 20 years of SAIC experience and extensive corporate knowledge, which will be instrumental as SAIC continues to evolve, ” said SAIC CEO Tony Moraco.
Wheeler previously held contracts and procurement director roles in support of various business areas of the McLean, Virginia-based government services contractor.
She holds a bachelor’s degree in political science from Radford University and a juris doctorate from The Catholic University of America.
