In a LinkedIn post published Tuesday, Barbara Supplee, executive VP of Navy business group at SAIC, said Sorkin will also lead Naval Information Warfare Systems Command and U.S. Marine Corps solutions market.
According to Supplee, Sorkin’s expertise in technology development and program leadership will drive innovation at SAIC that could help address the evolving challenges facing the Navy and Marine Corps.
“By leveraging new technologies and partnerships, he will help deliver transformative solutions and mission-critical outcomes that make a real difference for those who serve,” the EVP added.
Josh Sorkin’s Career Background
In 2008, Sorkin joined SAIC as deputy division director and was responsible for providing engineering and program management support for the C4I division supporting Space and Naval Warfare Systems Command, or SPAWAR.
According to his LinkedIn profile, he has held various leadership roles since his move to SAIC, including VP and service line director, program manager and business operations lead for platform integration operation.
The Pennsylvania State University graduate served as a management consultant within Naval Air Systems Command.
He currently serves on the boards of the Charleston Regional Development Alliance and Charleston Metro Chamber of Commerce in South Carolina.
