Joseph Early, former chief digital and data officer at the Department Defense’s F-35 Joint Program Office, has joined Cornerstone Defense as deputy chief technology officer.
The former U.S. Navy lieutenant commander will work with the company’s leadership and technical teams in efforts to bring differentiated platforms to the government sector, Cornerstone Defense said Monday.

His career with DOD also includes time as Mad Hatter project lead at Kessel Run and personnel officer and instructor mission commander at the Navy.
