TYSONS CORNER, VA, November 20, 2018 Johns Hopkins University Applied Physics Laboratory has collaborated with U.S. Army researchers to build software that will serve to provide a self-righting capability to the future Advanced Explosive Ordnance Disposal Robotic System, ExecutiveBiz reported Monday.
APL said Friday its work with the Army Research Laboratory — with support from Northrop Grumman (NYSE: NOC), OpenJAUS and GuardBot — is designed to enable the robotic bomb-defusing system to return to an upright position with the goal to advance autonomous operations.
