TYSONS CORNER, VA, Oct. 5, 2017 Johns Hopkins University Applied Physics Laboratory has named Robert Work, former deputy secretary of the Defense Department, as a senior fellow to help shape government and military policy and technology programs, GovCon Executive reported Wednesday.
“His broad expertise, particularly his insights on autonomy, artificial intelligence and human-machine collaboration, can help us extend the impact of the critical work our scientists and engineers are doing for national defense, cybersecurity, healthcare and space,” APL Director Ralph Semmel said in a statement issued Tuesday.
