John Zangardi, formerly senior vice president of business initiatives and strategic partnerships at Leidos' (NYSE: LDOS) civil group, has been named president of technology services provider Redhorse.
The three-decade federal service and military veteran will oversee Redhorse's day-to-day operations and be based in Washington, D.C., the company said.
"His reputation as a visionary digital transformation leader is widely recognized. I am confident that working together we will lead the Redhorse team to deliver new levels of innovation, performance and service for our customers," said CEO David Inmon.
Zangardi's public sector career has included time as chief information officer at the Department of Homeland Security, acting CIO at the Department of Defense and deputy assistant secretary for command, control, communications, computers, intelligence, information operations and space at the U.S. Navy.
The retired naval flight officer served in various staff and command assignments over the course of his military career.
San Diego-based Redhorse offers data science, cognitive computing, engineering, science, operations research, program management, enterprise advisory and digital services.
