John West, a more than three-decade industry veteran, has been appointed vice president of business development and strategy at Tyto Athene.
He brings to the role over 30 years of experience providing strategic consulting support to federal government customers and has held various positions at companies in the areas of business development, executive client interface and management.
Prior to Tyto Athene, West was VP of business development and strategy at Leidos (NYSE: LDOS). He also held the role of managing director for federal markets at Verizon Enterprise Solutions.
Tyto Athene CEO Chris Meilhammer said West is a key addition to the leadership team and his appointment comes as the company continues to pursue growth initiatives.
“Something that appealed to me about Tyto was the size, the people, and the leadership team,” West said.
“Tyto is mid-size and because of that, we have a lot of agility and the ability to react quickly to changes in the market … Tyto is a place that enables leaders to make and implement decisions quickly, and it’s exciting to have this opportunity,” he added.
