John Ratigan Appointed Chief Corporate Development Officer at Comtech

John Ratigan, formerly CEO and president of ST Engineering’s iDirect Government subsidiary, has joined Comtech (Nasdaq: CMTL) as chief corporate development officer.

He has over 30 years of leadership experience in the satellite communications and defense technology industry and will oversee the company’s strategic business growth initiatives and new market expansion goals, Comtech said Wednesday.

Ratigan has led iDirect Government subsidiary for two decades and helped manage the delivery of satcom technologies to the government and defense customers.

He also oversaw the acquisition of Glowlink Communications Technology in 2019 and the integration of its interference mitigation technology into iDirect Government’s Evolution offering.

Ken Peterman, president and CEO of Comtech, said Ratigan will help the company pursue “opportunities, strategic partnerships, and technology synergies” that will drive the use of communications technologies.
